« How cohesive are the BRICS? »

Rencontre avec Dr. Gregory Chin, Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science and Faculty of Graduate Studies at York University (Canada)

Dr. Chin is also a Senior Fellow of the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI), and an Associate Fellow of Chatham House. He is a member of the editorial board of Rowman & Littlefield’s New Millennium International Books Series, an academic member of the editorial board of the China and International Organization Books Series, jointly published by Shanghai People’s Press and Shanghai International Studies University, and on the advisory board of the North Korea Research Group at the University of Toronto. He has refereed manuscript submissions for Global Governance, International Journal, New Political Economy, Pacific Affairs, Pacific Review, Review of International Political Economy, World Development and World Politics. Dr. Chin has held visiting fellowships at Peking University (1997-1998) and University of Cambridge (2010).

Prior to joining York University in 2006, Dr. Chin served as a diplomat in the Canadian Embassy in Beijing from 2003 to 2006, and was responsible for Canadian foreign aid to China and North Korea. From 1999 to 2003, he served in Canada’s Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, and the Canadian International Development Agency.

His research interests include China’s global economic expansion, the emerging powers and global governance reform, Asian regionalism, and Chinese foreign policy.
